Behtarino is a business discovery and local marketing platform that connects consumers with businesses while helping merchants increase their online presence and attract more customers.
The platform provides merchants with various growth and advertising solutions, including Google Ads campaigns, promotional packages, and subscription-based marketing services. By leveraging Behtarino's strong search visibility and SEO presence, businesses can improve their discoverability and generate qualified leads.
The platform was developed using a modular monorepo architecture built with Next.js, allowing different product domains to evolve independently while maintaining a unified ecosystem.
As a Front-End Developer, I primarily worked on merchant-facing products and growth-focused user journeys.
My responsibilities included:
Developing merchant dashboard features
Building and optimizing registration flows
Implementing campaign management experiences
Collaborating closely with Product Managers on feature design and validation
Improving user onboarding experiences
Supporting data-driven product decisions
Contributing to scalable front-end architecture
While much of my work involved implementation, a significant part of my role required understanding product goals, customer behavior, and business impact before writing code.
One of the most critical areas of the platform was the merchant onboarding experience.
Since new merchant acquisition directly impacted business growth, every step of the registration journey needed careful attention.
We continuously analyzed user behavior to understand:
Where users abandoned registration
Which onboarding steps caused friction
What prevented merchants from completing signup
How product changes affected conversion rates
By identifying drop-off points and improving user flows, we were able to make onboarding smoother and reduce unnecessary friction for new merchants.
Many features on the merchant dashboard directly influenced revenue generation.
Because of this, even small implementation mistakes could negatively affect:
Merchant acquisition
Campaign purchases
Subscription upgrades
User retention
This required a high level of attention to detail, extensive testing, and close collaboration with stakeholders before releasing new features.
One of the most valuable aspects of this project was the strong collaboration between engineering and product teams.
Before implementing new features, we regularly worked with Product Managers to evaluate:
Business objectives
User needs
Technical feasibility
Potential impact on key metrics
Long-term maintainability
This experience strengthened my product thinking and helped me make engineering decisions aligned with business goals rather than focusing solely on technical implementation.
The platform was organized as a monorepo where major product areas such as:
Homepage
Registration flows
Merchant dashboard
Business profile pages
were separated into independent modules while sharing common infrastructure and components.
This architecture improved scalability, maintainability, and team collaboration across multiple product areas.
Registration and payment-related experiences required a high degree of reliability.
Any issue in these flows could directly impact conversion rates and revenue.
To mitigate risks, we focused heavily on:
Comprehensive testing
Edge-case handling
Consistent user experience
Careful rollout of new feature
Improved merchant onboarding experiences
Contributed to conversion-focused registration flows
Supported merchant acquisition initiatives
Delivered scalable merchant dashboard features
Strengthened collaboration between engineering and product teams
Contributed to a highly tested and maintainable codebase
Gained extensive experience in product-oriented software development
